Why Does Dachshund puppy connect Have Adoption Fees?
An adoption fee helps to protect the dogs that need rehoming and help to stop casual pet owners who don’t take their dogs seriously and can end up abandoned, neglected and ignored. Free to good home adverts can be picked up by people who wish to use these dogs as bait in dog fighting and if an animal is not desexed then they can be used in puppy farms. There are many people who don’t value what they get for free.
Owning a pet is a privilege and costs money. When some of our rescues come in, they might require desexing, vaccinations, heartworm testing, extensive dentals and any other veterinary work that is needed. In most cases the adoption fee covers basic veterinary treatment or training, but if a dachshund has required extra veterinary treatment, it’s likely that your adoption fee won’t cover these additional costs.
